Serb church defaced in Muslim dominated region

A ninth century church has been defaced with vulgar graffiti in a Serbian town dominated by Muslims.
The church of St. Peter church in Novi Pazar is the oldest Orthodox church in the Balkans.
Leader of the Islamic Community of Serbia, led by Adem Zilkic, immediately condemned this incident saying that any desecration of a house of faith is, according to Islamic holy book, the Quran, the "worse sin than murder".
Zilkic pointed to Islamic Community’s good relations with the Serbian Orthodox Church and noted that "those who did it do not mean well to their people"
