An Estonian paper writes that the Georgian President Lado Gurgenidze said that his country will recognize independence of Kosovo.
"Of course we will recognize Kosovo at a certain time as did all our allies," Gurgenidze says.
Georgia has its own separatist provinces and is pleading with the world bodies not to have them recognized.
Montenegro's newly elected President, Filip Vujanovic, says that he will not rush to recognize Kosovo as he seeks to preserve good neighborly relations with Belgrade, peace in the region, as well as internal stability.
Spanish daily ABC says that EU and US have gotten themselves into a trap of their own making because by recognizing Kosovo's independence they will never find a legal justification for such a decision.
Western countries have encouraged the recognition of independence of Kosovo claiming that this was a special case, but it has become clear rapidly that a precedent has been set which will not stop encouraging separatist movements in Europe and throughout the world, writes the paper.
Kosovo Albanian leadership is currently preparing new maps that will demarcate the border with Macedonia because it claims Sopje unjustly confiscated land from Kosovo.
"We are now in the process of understanding documents and agreements that were reached at that time between Serbia and Montenegro and Macedonia, and we are also consolidating all the topographic maps, then we are analyzing the Ahtisaari plan regarding this issue. We hope that the next meeting will take place by middle of this month," Kosovo Albanian "General" Behar Selimi said.
